DMCA & Takedowns
Last updated · 16 June 2026DOOM.WS is designed to host as little as possible. Mod files are never stored on our servers; they live in your browser. Here's how copyright concerns are handled.
What we host (and don't)
- We do NOT host or distribute third-party mod files (.wad / .pk3). Users supply their own files, which stay in their browser's local storage.
- We serve base-game IWADs only where the operator has the right to, gated by a kill-switch that can be disabled instantly on notice.
- The 'Best DOOM Mods' page links out to each mod's own home; it does not redistribute the files.
Filing a takedown notice
If you believe content we actually serve infringes your copyright, email andrej.mecir@gmail.com with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on this site where the material appears.
- Your contact details (name, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
Valid notices are acted on promptly. Usually that means removing the material and, where relevant, flipping the hosting kill-switch for the affected asset. Because mods are user-supplied and never stored by us, most takedown requests are resolved by pointing to the upstream host that actually distributes the file.
Counter-notice & questions
If your content was removed in error you may send a counter-notice to the same address. For anything else, see the contact page or our Terms of Use.
