Roadmap. Done when done.
No timelines — this is a fan project. What's listed below is in the rough order we plan to ship it. Things move. If there's an itch we should scratch sooner, the request box at the bottom is the fastest way in.
Currently being shipped. Expect commits to land on these any week.
Render fixes for finicky mods
Some mods — usually heavy total conversions — render with black walls, missing sprites or GL errors under the WebAssembly engine. We're walking through them one at a time, comparing argv and cvars against native GZDoom traces and patching the engine where we have to.
Cloud save sync polish
Save states already mirror to your account when signed in. Conflict resolution between devices, very large mega-saves and dropped-connection retries are the rough edges still being smoothed.
Scoped, queued, will start once IN PROGRESS clears.
Mobile touch controls
On-screen virtual D-pad plus fire / use / weapon-swap buttons. Drag-to-rearrange layout with sensible presets for thumbs-on-the-edges and one-handed grips. Big quality-of-life win for the half of you on phones.
Keyboard remap UI
Rebind any in-game action through a settings sheet instead of typing console commands. Per-mod overrides for mods that ship custom verbs (Brutal Doom's stomp, Ashes 2063's interact, etc.).
Mobile-first UX pass
The player chrome works on phones today but feels like a desktop layout shrunk down. Settings sheet, save list, log drawer all get a phone-first refresh.
Big ideas we like but haven't committed to. Vote with feature requests if any of these matter to you.
Online multiplayer
Co-op and deathmatch over WebRTC with room codes for friends. The engine already has multiplayer code; getting it across the WASM boundary, through NAT and onto a small relay tier is the work. Realistic, not trivial.
Curated mod collections
Editor-picked playlists — "Cacoward winners by year", "Best 30-minute mods", "If you liked Ashes 2063". A way to discover beyond the catalogue grid for newcomers who don't know where to start.
Time trials & leaderboards
Per-map run timers with cloud-synced records. Opt-in — speedrunning isn't everyone's vibe, but the people it speaks to, it really speaks to.
Mod requests from visitors
A public queue where anyone can ask for a specific mod to be added to the index. Goes through the same moderation flow as direct submissions; good for mods you can't easily upload yourself.
Request a feature.
Spotted a mod that doesn't render? Got a feature you wish was on the list? Drop a line. Bug reports jump straight to the top of the render-fixes queue; feature requests with a real use case behind them shape the order above.
