Terms of Use

Last updated · 16 June 2026

DOOM.WS is a free, non-commercial fan project. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What DOOM.WS is

DOOM.WS runs open-source DOOM-family source ports compiled to WebAssembly so you can play your own legally owned game files and community mods directly in your browser. We provide the engine and the interface. We do not sell anything, run ads, or charge for access.

Your files and content

  • You are responsible for the game data (IWADs) and mod files you load. You must own a legal copy of any commercial game data you use, or use the free Freedoom IWAD.
  • Mod files you add are processed entirely in your browser. You confirm you have the right to use them.
  • You must not use the site to distribute malware, infringing content, or material that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

Accounts

Signing in is optional and uses Google authentication. An account lets your save states sync across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service, attempt to break it, or violate these terms.

Acceptable use

  • Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer for redistribution, or re-host the engine bundle.
  • Don't upload save data designed to abuse storage quotas or harm other users.
  • Don't use the service for anything unlawful.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. It may change, break, or go offline at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DOOM.WS is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including lost save data. Keep your own backups via the export feature.

Trademarks

DOOM, DOOM II and related game data are trademarks of id Software LLC / ZeniMax Media / Bethesda Softworks. DOOM.WS is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by them. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
